Take a small bowl, add sugar to 1/3 cup of warm water. Dissolve the yeast. Wait for around 10 minutes for the yeast to bloom.
In a large bowl, add all the remaining ingredients of the dough. Make a well in the center and add the yeast. Knead in a smooth dough and keep it aside for 2 hours to double in size.
Assembling and Baking
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Take a medium skillet and heat in on medium heat. Place the bacon on the skillet and cook until fat is released and it is lightly browned. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel–lined plate to drain the excess fat.
Roll out the dough to a 12-inch rectangle flat bread. Transfer it to a baking sheet.
Brush the dough lightly with some Olive oil, especially the edges of the flatbread. Spread the marinara and add mozzarella cheese. Arrange the apple slices on top in a single layer.
Place the bacon pieces on the side of the apple slices.
Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for about 10 mins until the crust is golden and the cheese has brown spots.
Remove the flatbread from the oven. Top with some chilli flakes. You can also drizzle maple syrup; slice and enjoy.
